Remember how excited I was for my Christmas gift from Matthew? Well I dont think I ever sent you guys a photo of my new bike! Let's be clear, it is not a well made machine... but it gets me to the bars/restaurants and back :)
This photo was taken Sunday on our way back from mimosas/lunch:
All I need to complete my "biker" look is a wicker basket! |
FYI: Your front fork is mounted backwards.
ReplyDeleteIt is very simple to fix. Just take off the front wheel and turn the handlebars around so they face backwards. Then loosen the bolt on the stem to re-align the handlebars without turning the fork. Then re-mount the wheel. With a crescent wrench it'll take you all of 20 minutes.
You know you've done it right when the 'scoop' of the fork faces forward, with the long end of the fender at the back.
Whoa whoa whoa...the Dawson's blog! Can I just tell you how I got here??? I was browsing Cup of Jo, clicked on a link for Beer on a Bike (obviously) and clicked on the link of somebody's comment on the etsy site...which brought me HERE! One may say "crazy internet stalker" but I say "fate". Megan Dawson, I love that bicycle of yours! Miss you! xo - Molly Fennell
ReplyDeleteMrs fennell: so glad you found us! It is fate! Miss you! Hope all is well with you and brien!
